Run a super top with rear windows out?

I know this isn't real technical, but does anyone run their supertop with the rear windows out? I'm wanting to run mine in summer without completely removing it. Just want to get some opinions so I don't wind up ripping it off going down the road. Thanks for any input. Rear side windows.

Yes, I do it sometimes. I take off the doors, rear window, and side windows. Works fine, no problems.

Sounds like it may be just a longer bikini top. I took of my super top for the summer. I keep the bikini top on now. When it rains, either it is in the garage or I have it covered with a car cover that keeps the rain out. That way I can enjoy the sun without having to take off the top each day.

I have run mine with just the back window rolled up, using the snaps, with full doors and I got a lot of exhaust in the cab. It was real uncomfortable. If I run with my half doors there is enough airflow that it keeps the exhaust out of the cab.

i've run it like that but make sure you take doors off or the windows open to let fresh air in. i also use just my bikini top and have the doors inside just in case of rain works like a charm.

I used to run mine that way when it was too hot - never could understand why people would remove a Supertop to run a bikini.

I never rolled the windows-that's how they get scratched. I'd pull em and either hand them in the garage or fold them in layers of soft towels.

In the summer I leave by back & side windows hanging in the garage. I leave the lower doors on, have the top folded down & the upper doors stashed behind the back seat. I use a couple of old flannel king size pillowcases to keep the upper doors from getting scratched. When a summer thunderstorm rolls in, I can throw up the top & put on the upper doors in about 2 minutes. This is enough to protect you from all but the most inclement weather.

I have snaps on the edge of a shelf in the garage to snap the rear window to, and I lay the side curtains flat between towels. Take the doors apart and stick them behind the rear seat.

    :iagree:

I always take the whole top off, bows included. I run a boat canvas bikini top pulled drum hard between the cage bars. No straps and no annoying flapping of a windshield attached bikini top.

I have run a supertop with the doors and windows off, but it still feels like the top is on.
