I am wanting to run CV joints in the Franken-jeep. Planning on running Chevy 1/2 ton 1310 jointed drive shafts and need CV yokes that fits in the 18. I have found several 1310 CV yokes on line that "say" they will bolt directly into an 18, but they are all normal, STD type yokes and there would be no flange provision for the E-brake assembly.

I haven't been able to locate a CV type yoke that flange mounts, as needed for the E-brake drum. Without the E-brake I can't get the little beast inspected. For the sake of accuracy, the Chevy joints are actually double cardan units.

    What's a feller to do?

    Thanks

Check with Jess at High Angle Driveline or Tom Wood driveline. They may have something. And yes, they are double cardan joints not cv ;).
I went through Tom Wood when I needed the custom companion flange when I built the park brake for my Dana 300.

Pretty much a new guy here, but had the same problem a while back. Ended up taking a regular yoke, made a flange out of 1/4" steel, put a hole in the center of the flange that fit perfect over the yoke, and welded it on. Yes I was concerned about welding to the yoke, so heated it some with a torch first. Have not seen any cracks yet with a few hundred miles on it. Seems to work good.
