Need steering column dimensions

    I posted the other day in need of the O.D. of the steering column shaft. The consensus there was 7/8". Now, I need to know the I.D. of the steering column tube that goes over the shaft. Also, if someone can confirm or deny the 7/8" that would be great. Again, I'd just go measure mine, but I'm on my ship and my Jeep is on land 1000 miles away. Thanks in advance

    I have a 67 CJ6 with a Dauntless V6 motor and original Ross box for a V6. The diameter of the steering shaft is 7/8 and the ID of the tube is 1 7/16 inch.

    I just measured the id of my tube yesterday with a caliper. It was 1.43-1.44in.
