Hi All been quite a while since I haqve been here. I am swapping power steering into my 72 cj5 304. I got the setup from an 87 wagoneer a co worker was upgrading to a diesel from the 360 gasser. Everything looks to be compatable but the pitman arm. The 87 has the wrong size for my tie rod end (too large) and the manual arm will not fit the output of the power box. Does anyone know of an arm that will fit?

    Thanksw

you will need to get a power steering pitman arm that fits the 72-75 cj5. They are the ones that are indexed correctly. I purchased mine from 4wd hardware. I believe they have both drop and standard arms.

:)Like "Road Hog" mentioned getting the correct index may be an issue and also the length which will change the number of turns lock to lock ...

Setting up Steering is fairly complex........there are a lot of things to consider...............I would call Parts Mike in California....has a more than ample selection of unique Pittman arms.
