The first thing I'd like to do for my Jeep is give it some fresh springs, (of course after a tune-up);) I've seen a lot of folks here talk about the BDS springs, and how great they are, but the Holbrook springs have caught my attention. They make sense, being longer, to have a better ride and better articulation. I think that's why the Wranglers do so well. I guess the big question would be durability, since they aren't really that well of a known brand, at least yet. A few questions would be, how long have you had them on your Jeep, how has the ride improved, how has the articulation improved, and how well have they held up as far as sag or settling goes? Any pictures of your Jeep with these springs, or before and after pictures, would be great to see!
    Thanks,
    Dave

Might contact Richard at R&P 4 WD parts Inc. he still has one of the prototype sets on his 3b (early CJ-5 frame and springs). I drove it in Moab Utah during testing and they performed awesome. I believe he replaced the first set that was tested as they sagged but the current set has been on there somewhere around 12 years and are holding up very well. With a Chev small block 400, 33" tires, and a very heavy right foot. I have a set that are going on the '59 CJ 5 when it gets the new frame. I had the front set on the race Jeep and no issues. Before installation I regularly pulled wheelies. Afterward I couldn't get the front tires off the ground unless I jumped the Jeep. I pulled them off and they still are like new.
Highly recommended. Like any leaf spring setup, shock choice can make a big difference. A set if adjustables to dial them in really makes a difference.

Thanks for the reply Nickmil. They sound like they are a high quality spring.

Good quality springs - I have been running them for almost 10 years. Rancho 9000s are the ticket for shocks.

Cool. Sounds like they are way ahead of their time kind a folks. I wonder if those springs could be used on other early 4x4's like the Scout 80's and 800's, or FJ40's?

The biggest issue would be the spring rates. Scouts and FJ's are quite a bit heavier.

If I was buying springs today, those would be at the top of my list. Followed by Skyjacker Softride & BDS.
