I recently got my Tranny put back together, with the help of M38Willys (THANKS BRANNON!), and turned it over this morning. I replaced everything, clutch disk & pressure plate, pilot bushing, new clutch fork and T/O bearing. I am now trying to adjust the freeplay and have a question!

As it is adjusted now, the T/O bearing is turning at all times. This isn't right is it? Should I adjust it back so it's not in contact with the pressure plate tongs? The problem with this is if I do move it all the way back I don't think I will have enough clutch fork movement to allow shifting. The clutch fork is new from Krage and looks to be the same as the one I removed.

    Thoughts????

It's a fine line - I have the same problem, and my TO Bearing cooked because it was in contact full time (I think that's why it fried anyhow). I would say find that fine adjustment that allows motion but doesn't cause that thing to spin all the time.
