I believe I am going to replace/upgrade my steering. I was looking at all the Saginaw boxes, this one in particular,
    http://www.autozone.com/autozone/pa...ower-Steering/_/N-5yc1s?itemIdentifier=858290
I see that its input shaft is .8 (13/16) with 32 spline. I can not for the life of me locate any steering u joints with 32 spline in 13/16. I located this box at several other vendors and all are the same, somebody has to make 13/16 32 spline. ?????

Also check out pto joints from tractor supply houses and Six States Distributing. The Flaming River and Borgeson are nice, hold up well, and compact. The pto joints are larger but use larger u-joints which are greaseable and replaceable. You can mix and match the yokes for spline counts, etc. I e used both styles and like the pto joints for the reasons I mentioned but also like the others for compactness and appearance. Check out Speedway as well.

I looked, no 13/16 32 spline. they had 36 spline. You would think they would make the 32 spline 13/16 seeing as some GM Saginaws had those for input shafts.

Might contact them directly if you haven't. Lots of times companies don't have all their products on a website.

    If that is a Saginaw Box I think the 32 spline is a typo..............13/16 x 36 on the series 800 Saginaw is standard......the 700 box has a 3/4" x 30 or 36............like Nick said give them a call.

I agree, I looked into just about every bit of ifo on that box. Has to be a typo.

More than likely they counted only the splines visible with the flat cut on the shaft.
Thats not how you count splined shaft, you are suppose to count the splines as if they went all the way around the shaft. A 13/16-36 spline steering box only has 32 splines showing, the other 4 have been cut off to make the flat on the box shaft.

    Excellent, that does make sense.
