Hi. I am trying to restore some original 1966 fold and flip front bucket seats for my CJ-5 (V6). The original color of the Jeep is Marlin Blue and I have found that SMS Auto Fabrics has the correct vinyl in Marlin Blue color. The current covers are not stock so I don't have any original seat material to measure from. The guy at my upholstery shop says the panels (horizontal strips) in the center of the seat are heat pressed in rather than stitched in.

My question: Does anyone know how wide the horizontal panels are supposed to be? Looks like there are about 8 or 9 panels from the pictures I have seen. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I'll see if I can post a picture of what the original seats are supposed to look like soon.

Nevermind, I understand what you are talking about. I had non pleated seats and these measurements will not help you..
