    Welcome from Bainbridge Island, WA.

Someone took sometime to do the body work. Kinda shaved like a hot rod. Looks nice. :D

I learn geography with you, and google map.

if you drive from Hastings to Minden, you just have to touch once the steering wheel, then you can attach it. It is a direct line.

About the transfer case, my 71 CJ5 has only one lever, 3 positions. In fact the lever pushes 2 cams, only the lever changes, not below.

I could be way off but that column looks like a chevy van column....if I'm not mistaken chevy didn't put key cylinders in the van columns til the late 70s.....they were popular with chevy gear heads to get tilt without the key cylinder...some could be found without the auto tranny shift rings and levers too....and my 69cj5 has the 225 and one transfer case lever too...idk if that means much...I'm still new to cjs

CJ5s with the 225 V6 from the factory all received single stick transfer case shifters. Most go to twin stick because it's easier to reach.

Dana 18 transfer cases with single stick shifters are also the large hole case that is required to attach to the T14A transmission.
this large hole case is also used for the Dana 20 transfer case.
The oil fill plug location will help determine if it is a thicker case as well as the casting number.
Oil fill plug on the passenger side is a light weight version.
Oil fill plug on the rear is a thicker version.
The last number of the casting number will tell how thick they are. 5 - 8 if I remember correctly.
Dana 20s came in Blazers in 1970 with sm420 4 speed, long version adapter. not so good for CJ5.

    Nice looking Jeep.

I put a fiberglass tub on the '71 years ago. After I had it painted, I wanted the "Jeep" letters on the cowl.
My solution was to get some factory letters that belong on a '97 ZJ, between the hood and the grille.
These are raised, plastic letters, pre-spaced on a clear backing.
It turned out well, gave it a factory look, albiet not restoration correct. If you want an easy way to put "Jeep" on the cowl, this is a good way to go.
