As far as I know the only wreck evident on this jeep was on the pass side fender. It was crunched a bit, then bondo'd over to fill in the hole.

That's good news about the angle of the drive shaft. If yours was about 2" and mine's @ 3" then I might not need but 1" of correction. That would about fix the shift lever location.

The FSM does have some angle measurements. When I get my shop built, I might just do the body off restoration that it needs. Believe me there's tons of stuff I would love to do under there that I haven't been able to without a body off resto.

I would kill just to have my frame sitting in my shop with nothing but the engine and tranny sitting on it.

Duh --I forgot that I have a V6 frame (from Dutch) leaning against the shed!

I cross measured from motor mount (top hole) to the first body mount/brackets.

    (approximate)
    36" one cross-side
    36-5/8" on the other cross-side

It's off, but what does that REALLY mean?

    Rolled?
    Plowed with?
    All the above?

    Prolly all the above :D

You know I'd bet that this information would be very useful to anyone doing a frame off restoration. I mean if the body's off, there's really no sense not trying to align the frame as best you can or as close to specs as possible.

I'm about to check my FSM to see if I might could scan that page for posting here.

I had the same problem with my jeep when I bought it. Mine wasnt as bad as your, but it was off to the left. I removed the transfercase mount bolts and it sprung back into position telling me whoever put the crossmember in before I got it had to pry it over. the crossmember is not the origional. I fixed the problem by making my own crossmember monuts. Your seems to be much further than mine was, but it is worth a look.

When I remove my crossmember bolts it springs in the other direction only making the case worse....I've already got it shoved over as far as I can get it towards the correct direction.
