Tuxedo ?

I just purchased a 66 CJ5 that seems to be a tuxedo but it is a floor shift. It has the 2/3 1/3 split seat and chrome tail lights etc. It has a hardtop that is steel, Is this a tuxedo option or aftermarket? The top has 2 side glasses and 2 rear corner glasses and a lift gate glass and the doors have roll up windows. Maybe some one can tell me more with the VIN# 8322A15561 . Thanks...

A floor shift was stock from the factory on your jeep.

Your jeep was built in December '65.

Tuxedo Park Mark IV was not a dealer option, but a factory option. For the most part it was just added chrome. The only functional extra features on your jeep was the steering box, the springs, and the 10 inch brakes.

Did you buy your jeep in Georgia, or somewhere else?

The jeep was purchased by a lady in Port St. Lucie, Fl. new. The story is after she passed away she left it to her grandson, then he moved to Georgia and then sold it to the guy I purchased it from. It was not what he wanted, so he put it up for sale. It is in solid shape for its age. There is a little rust in the toe board area and at the rear of the bed. Not bad compared to some jeeps I have seen before.

My CJ5 (66) started life as a Tuxedo, but there isn't a lot of the Tuxedo features left now. I have the chrome tail lights and the chrome hood hinges. It came with the Dauntless V6 and a floor shift. It does have the individual bucket seats in the front.
