Which motor do I have ?

    OK
    Well I looked up the # on the firewall, and it looks like 8505 means I might have a 67 DJ5, but not sure how much different that is from a CJ5 but oh well. So now I a trying to figure out which motor and tranny I have so I can start restoring it.

    I was told it had a 46/47 power train , but who knows ??


    What is the best way to figure out which motor I have ?

    Eventually i will try to figure out the frame age/year and see which way to go with the restoration.
