Hello. I have read about all the benchseat topics posted here as well as all the comfort and color remarks. However, how does it fit with the transfer case, tranny, OD levers. Is there any room or will the levers contact the seat? It looks like my OD lever will contact unless the separation for the seats is there?

    Thanks

    Kevin

    Levers are easily bent.

FWIW I think it's going to depend quite a bit on where you have the seat positioned - I'm usually less worried about the shift levers than the knees of the rear seat passengers.

I guess I should wait and see or maybe have been more informed, but I am assuming that the seat bracket (bench)for the drivers side is the same as the standard seat. Might have to drill a couple of extra holes. Is the passenger side the same as the original pass seat? Reason for getting the seat is I have four small children that would get a hoot of driving around the block.

    Thanks

I was thinking the driver's seat would also have sliders, but now that I think about it I'm not sure if the "60" seat does.

Mine don't slide on either side. The "60" bolted directly into existing holes (the brackets are integrated in the frame). The "40" required drilling holes for the "swivel" mounts. My 60/40's were from a '68 (I believe) and I put them in my '68. Mine originally had buckets and I still have the frames, but they didn't have same swivel mounts. They swivel at a different point.

I've had both types of 60/40 seats, one with a sliding driver's seat (red) and one with a stationary driver's seat (tan).

Below is a pic of the 60/40 setup in my Tux. I had to slide one side of the driver's seat back a bit so the tranny lever wouldn't contact it. I suppose I could have bent the lever, but at the time I had no idea how to do that and it was just easier to slide the seat back. :D Not sure about the OD lever since this tux doesn't have one. HTH

Not trying to hi-jack here, but what is the main differences in the mounts between the buckets and the split bench? I've got a split bench that I've considered installing, but haven't been able to come up with the measurements for the bracket location, although it's probably not rocket science to figure out  .

If your P/S bucket mounts like shown in Alan's pic, I doubt there are any differences. The "60" mounts on the door opening and the middle leg attaches to existing holes that your buckets would also. At least in my case.
