My diggerjeep has dual wheels on the back and single wheels on the front. I have a set of 1 1/2" wheel spacers left over from a prior project. I'm considering installing them on the front wheels only. My question is will the spacers increase or decrease the turning radius, or will it remain the same? I'm also considering if I add the spacers, I can readjust the stops so the front axle hubs will turn a little sharper without the tires hitting the springs. I'm running 6.00x16 on the front and 7.00x16 on the rear. (front axle ratio is different than the rear).

I'm planning on doing some snow plowing this winter and would like to improve the turning radius.

with that size tire id think your radius is already pretty good. But yes the spacers that size will improve the turning radius by alot.

It depends on your front axles shafts- each type- Rzeppa, Bendix & Spicer, have a maximum angle they can work through. Exceed that & you'll break them.

6x16 aren't that wide so I'm guessing your stops are set based on the axles, not to keep the tires rubbing. See the FSM for details.

I'm curious? Like 'minor' difference such as 4.88 in the front and 4.89 in the rear as they came from the factory, or something wonked like 3.55 in the front and 5.38 rear?

If I remember correctly, it is 5.38 in the front and 6.78 in the rear. The rear is a Dana 70. This vehicle used to have a trencher of some sort and a grader blade on it. Only had less than 6000 miles on it when I got it. But 6000 miles of trench could be a lot ;-)

Currently has 06300 miles on the odometer and 3400 hours on the runtime clock. Since I've had it (10 yrs), I'be put maybe 400 on it. The prior owner had it for 20 yrs, and never drove it, and the motor was seized from sitting when I got it. The grader blade and trencher was gone when he got it. I assume most of the mileage was getting to the jobsite, although I wouldn't want to drive it very far with the trencher and grader blade and noisy metal top. But anyway I have fun with it at car shows....
