I've looked but have had no luck in finding a center console for my jeep. It would be nice to have somewhere I can store a few things and lock it.

I use an ammo can. Cheap, simple to build brackets for, cheap, waterproof. Also, easy to add a lock to (put a hasp loop attached to the body, below the large hole in the flip-up latch).

I use one of those cheapo "refrigerator consoles" that you can get at walmart. perfect center console and I can keep a six pack of soda cool!!!

Thanks guys. Probably going with the ammo can. They're cheap, waterproof and reliable.

In my 73 I used a tuffy center console. I bolted the back in as directed, but used small hose clamps and some rubber hose as insulators in the front. They attach to the bar for the seat mount. It has been in about three years and is still holding strong. It's at the right height for my arm and secures my radio. It's what I would recommend. I can post pictures if you're interested.

I drill a few holes in the bottom of mine and used zip ties..
