Transmission lubrication

    Does any body have 1st hand experience using GL5 lub in there trans/tcas and then doing a tear down. I know its not recommended for trans with brass in them but are they taking about shorting there life to weeks, years, decades. I've tried to research a replacement for SAE 90 EP but just get more confused the more I look. Thanks Phil

    It can make the transmission hard to shift and the transmission noisier. I've been getting mine at NAPA as they usually have at least a gallon in stock.

    Thanks for that other tread (I still seem to be a search engine dummy) The oil I buy has the Mil-L-2105 spec on it which answered all my questions when I looked it up. Phil
