The base plate is worn out just enough to have a vacuum leak causing a rough idle. I haven't been able to find a machine shop in town that can do the work they all say they don't have anyway to line it up. So I'm going to do it myself. Mikes carburetor parts carries the bushings and the screws I need. I am just having trouble find a 5/16 pilot reamer that will work.

Here is the a reamer I am looking into buying it will just have to modified to work as a pull through reamer. http://www.use-enco.com/1/1/14095-hss-chucking-reamers-329-1124.html

And here are the bushings and screws I'm going to use.

I have also found a kit and a write up on how to replace them.

I think the first thing i would do is send a message to member Scoutpilot. He seems to know his way around carburetors. He may be able to give you some good info.

Did you mic the throttle shaft? When new they are .3125" (5/16"). a measurement of less than .3115" is problematic and probably leaking. The shaft and ports wear unevenly, developing an egg or oval shape due to lateral and rotational forces from the linkage. If you have no luck locating a 5/16" let me know. I have a few extra.

thanks for the reference on the kit/bushings.
