When you get done with the Holley, toss it and put on FI. I did everything you can do to a 2bbl Holley, whistle, spring loaded float valves, vents extended, blah blah blah. It still crapped out on the steep climbs. Just saying.

well I completely agree John .....just too much money to throw at it .got other things going on ......

I do have to say you need ALOT of time to get a Holley to RUN right .....I have 8 yrs of trial and error in the Olds to find the right mix of strip /street in the 850 mech sec DP.....
I have a super sweet BG 775 which technically that car would LOVE but I would take forever to get it tuned right . there are SO many adjustments .

tried EVERY squirter I have ,25 34 31 and a mystery one the #25 still does the best ...
the dauntless idles with a AWESOME 18" of vac ,,,,my on load mid range is complete crap .motor didn't like the old crunchy 7.5 PV threw a 6.5 in there and it just falls apart ....have a 10.5
going to try that around the block

    idles fine,,,excellent infact
off idle is good, transition with NO load .sweet and smooth

in gear is a different story
jeep is a rocket(haha) off the line but falls apart from the 2nd to 3rd shift .

I had nothing but more power once the headers were open.
225 really responds to open headers, even when stock

OK now we're getting somewhere ...... jeep almost likes the 10.5 PV ...it is occasionally throwing up a carb backfire though ..... it's cold and raining here and engine temp can't get over 130 deg ....so it's running very cold ....even my 2G would backfire from the carb when I asked too much from it on a cold day ....... so wait till tomorrow or throw a 180 therm in it

it did slip the tires on wet pavement from a dead stop so the 442 is now jealous .....and worried
