dana 20 issu

    Maybe a dumb question.
    I took off the rear drive-shaft of my dana 20, with the transmission engage in first/second speed, i can easy turn the end yoke by half a turn before it stop.

    Is that normal?

    And what is consider to be normal?

    And does there any correct word to use to discribe this trouble? (like backlash/preload etc).

    id call it backlash or gear lash. and i wouldnt think that there should be that much
