Armor/step with fiberglass tub

I have an AJ's deluxe tub on my cj5. I would like to add some type slider with a step but don't know if the fiberglass is strong enough to mount things to it. I would like to try to tie it into the body mounts for some extra support.... Thoughts?

Something similar to this.

 

I think the key to doing that is to reinforce it underneath the tub and attached to the frame. Otherwise it would be too weak to support a person's weight/rocks and obstacles.

 

I went to frame on mine..

 

Mine are long enough on the bottom to run the body mount bolts through them.

the body mount goes under the plate near the 1.25 inch lip the 4.5 inch lip goes up the tub. its bent out of a piece of 3/16 plate
