    Hi,
To anyone contemplating rebuilding their pump, make sure of your model before ordering. Due to limited shop time and my tendency to get parts ahead of time, I ordered a rebuild kit from Walck's which listed the AC 4080 as the pump for my 1965 CJ5. I actually have the 4693, which I didn't realize till I had it apart on the bench. Not Walck's fault, mine for not verifying what I had. Anyhow, everything will work in this kit except for the vacuum diaphragm. The quality seems good, and in a pinch I think I can remount the new diaphragm to the old plunger with a little creativity. For now, I replaced the original part, which seemed serviceable. As an aside, I did a valve adjustment while the pump was off, and that galley cover is a real pain in the rear to install while trying to keep the gasket in place. Surprisingly, the exhaust valves were spot in, and the intakes were tight. I would have expected the opposite.
