    Today I removed a pipe that was really stuck inside my left rear top bow bracket on my 59 cj5. Now someone is telling me it's supposed to be there. Is that true did I screw up? I thought it was inserted by a previous owner and rusted after all these years. It was flush with the top of the bracket and not completely seated at the bottom staking to keep it from going though

    I don't have the brackets on my tub anymore but I don't remember any kind of insert being in there. The original bows obviously go in there and would bottom out at the stops you mentioned.
