My 56 is coming along, no radiator yet but fired it up for the first time. Will get better after I get radiator and can set timing and dwell after it warms up. But not to bad for guessing on setting for now.Hope this video works!!!!! Bruce[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

Your grey is beautiful, and will match with a white top.
I hope that you'll get hot hot weather to drive with no top.
You have to paint inside and change or repair the seats, I believe that you will use a gray color too, will be anyway a nice clean Jeep.

Alan28, Thank you. I'm building this one because my 55 M38A1 only has top canvas, so with all the rain we seem to have any more, I thought I would go a different route with this one, it will give me more " Jeep time", no matter what the weather!!!! Yes, I will be removing the top one more time, painting inside of cab and jeep. Then reinstall and paint outside. I'm looking for better seats, but these were in jeep when I bought it, so I will run with them till I get some different ones. And of course I will be running tires a lot smaller, I have stock rims just those will be the last thing I buy. Here's a pic of my 55 M38A1. [IMG][/IMG]

Walt & Glenn, Thanks!!! Glenn , Yes 24 volt, 55 is all orig. Military, except the lock-out hubs, just for drive ability. Here are a couple pics under the hood as you ask. Also a couple weeks ago, we went to Butler, Pa. , to be in a parade of jeeps to set a new world record, total of 2420 jeeps. At beginning of parade I got to represent 1955 in the 75 years of jeep. One jeep per yr was picked. In this video I'm around 1:05 or the 16th jeep, we had a great time. Hope you all enjoy the video!!! I hope clicking this link will let you view video, Enjoy!!!!!
