    Been driving 'BB' for a week now on my 20 miles commute and she's purring like a kitten these days, at long last. The only nits are despite a new Omix speedometer cable something's amiss, the odometer turns but not the speed indicator, my guess is the internal plastic gears are shot. Been using my tachomter and amplitude of my exhaust to gauge my speed until I get to the bottom of this. Also the brake master cylinder seems to sporadically leak, despite a new gasket (made in China). Other than that, I'm enjoying have 'BB' running reliably again.

    Some to find that the Speedometer cable had a break somewhere and occasionally overspin the Speedometer, this caused the internal pin contact for the Speedometer needle to break loose from the magnetized bell inside the Speedometer. I've got a later Speedo waiting in the wings but I'd like to find another O.E. style like I have;

    The spare I have has no Brake light, rather an Amp light in it's place;

    After a week or two of searching I cannot seem to find one like the top photo, is this a RARE speedometer?

    A brighter photo of the Speedometer face;

    I've had speedometer problems as well, gone thru 3 after market heads, less than 20K on each. I finally found one the matched my year on ebay

    Yep, EBay's been my go to for several parts but with the Brake on the left and Emergency Drive on the right seems to be very elusive. I wonder if the J trucks or Cherokees are what I should be looking at.
