Where can I get ahold of the beveled bolts for my windsheild frame hinges. The ones on the sides. Or what size are they. And are the fine thread or something weird like that. I have no idea what size them things are.
    Thanks

I think they're just 1/4-20. You should be able to find them at most hardware stores.

This may have a bearing on it, but my '57 had I "think" 1/4-28. Definately not a hardware store item. I ended up at my local nut/bolt supplier. Unfortunately, I couldn't find them in anything but black oxide finish. I may
powder coat them before they rust over.....

either way, shouldn't make much difference. There are nuts on the back side that are easy to get to. Just make sure to get nuts that fit whatever size bolt you buy.

Depends on year I 'spose...My nuts were "captured" to the inside of the cowling. (No pun intended. ) There was no putting matching nuts under there without a whole buncha headache.

Probably so. Emas doesn't say, but I'm assuming its the same 75 he posted another question about. I know that in my 74 I can reach right up under the cowl and get to all three of them pretty easily. I'm afraid I don't know much about the earlier ones.

Well I just got back from a wonderful store I discoverd today called Fasenal or something like that. I got two complete sets of two differant sizes for around 5 buck. 1/4" by 20 and 5/16 by 20. And I think there are nuts machined in that they bolt into.

don't forget the never-sieze on the bolts. makes it easier to remove later.

Lowes in the little drawers. Take the hinges in with you to check the angle/fit.
