5 weeks into a kitchen renovation and my small garage has been stuffed with appliances, so work on the Jeep has been limited.

Managed to get the shift boot from Mr. Gasket (pn. 1651) and the 3 stick boot from Herm the overdrive guy installed. Need to get rid of that white shift knob for the O/D.

I’ve got two snapped bolts in the passenger side front hub. Haven’t tried to remove the bolts yet but I had some fun cleaning up the warn hubs.

Anyone have instructions for removing the dial to replace the o ring underneath? The screw is held in place by some punch dents and I’m not sure if cutting them out is the right thing to do.

I've always used a screwdriver and managed to unscrew the bolt in spite of the dents. Then I add new dents when re-assembling.

thanks to fireball suggesting brute strength, I was able to get the dials off and replaced the o-rings. I found a post on another Jeep forum identifying replacement o-rings from Torque king 4x4. However they are $10 each. That user also found theoringstore.com and found a similar square-edge o-ring. Part number SN70138. Dimensions are 2-1/8"ID X 2-5/16"OD X 3/32"CS.

Hopefully this will help someone on ECJ5 in the future. They were .80¢ with a $5 minimum plus $10 shipping, so I have a few extras.
