Stripped my small hole d18 and 20 to put the 18 gears in the 20 case, and both have the 1.25" intermediate shafts

    I thought 55 would have 1 1/8?

After fumblin with the tape measure for 10 min I stuck a 1 1/4" wrench over both shafts, then tried a 1 1/8".....no dice on either

I'm reusing the 20 shaft as it's clean clean clean, the 18 has some marring on it

Just thought that was odd is all!!

To recap my 18 behind the T14 was cracked and the one behind the t90 was a small hole. I scored a t15 and d20 dirty dirt cheap and I thought saying I had a "super 18" would be rad lol the cracked 18 also had some rough edges on some of the teeth so I used the small hole gear set, which looked super clean

According to Novak the 1 1/4" started in '55.

Anything can be bolted together after 60 years. Best to never assume anything on an old Jeep.
