    Hello everyone,
I just recently bought an '74 cj6. It does not have a transfercase or transmissio. I was planning on putting a T18 and dana 20 behind the '81 AMC 360 that's in it right now, but I noticed for the first time today when I picked it up that the dana 44 rear has the pumpkin centered on the axle! Is it still possible to use a Dana 20 T-case? Or does the cause too many weird driveshaft angles? Thanks for an advice you can give. I'm new to Cj's. I have a stock Tj and a lifted XJ, so I'm just getting into this stuff.

nevermind, I just found that the dana 20 Is centered

The centered axle is fine for the 20. The dana 18 case is the offset one. With the cj6 you should not have many problems with driveshaft length

Thanks everyone. I'll definitly be around and asking lots of questions. At this time I have no pictures, at least that are worth anything. I plan on tearing the whole thing apart this week, I'll keep you all up to date on how it goes.
