I have a m38 running running 2.5 rancho lift spring over with only 3 leafs they are worn out s shaped. I like how low it sits it 24.5 from rocker to ground. I Would like to stay 1 3/4 wide springs. What springs are you guys running?

A spring over will add 4-5 maybe 6in of lift. Plus all the associated head aches with steering and stuff... You end up with a tall, narrow rig. I would just replace the existing springs with something new. Fresh bushings and shackles. Maybe go up an inch or so more and remove a leaf to keep it soft and low...

Sounds like you may have Wrangler YJ springs. Might be best to just replace what you have.

I'm thinking 1 inch superlift spring are going to be my best bet to keep it low.

1.75 and only 3 leaves SOA is bent springs waiting to happen. It will also have to do with the length of the perch...too short and you have wrap and bending. I ran 1" ranchos with the short leaf pulled (4 in total) and never had bending. I pulled them over the weekend to go with thinner slightly longer leaves.

On my old CJ5 I first used stock wrangler leafs for spring over, they did great but did bend a bit over time. I then went to the Rubicon express SOA springs. The eyes are "under" the leafs instead of the normal way for springs so it is not as high but gives some arch to the springs for flex. They were a bit tall but they were new and I did not keep the rig long enough to have it broken in.
