I got the cast iron gear box mount (THANKS BRAD!!!) so now i will need to mount it on the inside frame rail. My question is how far up did you guys mount yours?? I am thinknig just go as far forward until i get almost to the bumper, what have you guys done?

Thanks Joe, that gets me in the ballpark. Fortuatnely i do have a drop pitman arm in my stash so i can do this and not worry bout angles too much. The gear box will be up aways with the new mount compared to how it was. What is the best way to align the holes on both sides of the frame so i can sleeve the holes.

Dan - clamp it up and slip the pitman in the joints. I have one now that even with a drop the drag link and tie rod bind at the extreem of the turn. I am in the process of moving it to .25" clearance of the C Channel I weld at the frame horns.

I haven't had any interference with the way mine is mounted. If I had to do it again I would angle the box slightly towards the steering column to lessen the amount the motor mount needed to be notched.

Mine is angled about 2* or so.
