Stock Hd Springs Vs 2.5" Lift

Does anyone know how much difference there will be between stock HD (10 leaf) springs and a 2.5" Skyjacker spring? My stock springs aren't in bad shape but they do ride a bit stiff. I've got experience with Skyjacker springs in both Jeeps and Scouts so I'm confident they will improve the ride. I'm not really after any substantial lift and definitely not interested in having to drop my transfer case or mess with the steering. Is there a significant difference in ride height between stock HD and a 2.5" lift?

This is for a '74 Jeep CJ5 / 304

 

not a huge change, mine(bds 2.5) settled in to about stock height in a year or so

 

Thanks, any input on Skyjacker vs. BDS? I've heard good things about BDS but have no personal experience.

 

mine ride better than the boys skyjackers but his are nos from the 80s and they are tons better than the roughcountry ones on the wifes 76
