Spindle Question

    Ok on my dana 27 front end I installed my spindles using grade 8 bolts and red lock tight and torgued to 40 foot pounds installed hubs and now I am wondering if I should remove hubs and put lock washers and red lock tight any advice would be appreciated I really don't want to remove hubs

    There isn't much room to spare on the spindle bolts if you add washers it takes away from thread engagement in the casting. I would check for interference of bolts to the u-joints inside and lean towards keeping the spindle on the knuckle. If it does knock at full turn add lockwashers​

    Thank you for the reply I tore my front axle apart to install a nos power loc I know my way around engines but no so much about axles I did it to the book my back lash is .007 all new seals and I turned it both ways hard and rotated and felt or herd nothing called it good a lms in the front should complement my sm465 swap so far I like steering is a little tighter but then again I still have manuel steering I like this this forum alot

    i think it'll be fine, as it seems you've followed the instructions. if something's making a lotta noise, definitely check on it.
