Engine Id

    i have 508A12 on my engine boss.

    I see the engine is a 258.

    I don't know what year the first digit "5" is for. I have the service manual for 1974.

    My code is 805E19 which is a 1975-the 8 made May 19 as a 232 so I'd guess the 5 is a 1972 made in August 12 and is a 258
