Belt Alignment

1. I picked up a different alt. bracket. My alt. fit in the bracket nicely. Searching further, I learned from the ID # (508A12) the engine is a 72. The water pump is from a newer year possibly 1975. And my alt. does not fit in the 74 alt. bracket.
   
   My water pump pulley doesn't line up with the alt.
   
   Would it be easier to get a different water pump with a flange for the pulley that is further out on the shaft?
   
   Or find a different pulley?

When my water pump went out I had trouble finding one for my 75 CJ5 with a 304. Finally from the right one.
