I think that where the exhaust exits ( out the back vs. in front the rear tires) makes a difference, and maybe a significant difference and that headers vs stock manifolds also makes a difference. For me, my first goal is to quiet down the exhaust exiting in front of the tires with a quieter mufflers and eventually run the exhaust out the back to exit at an angle, down and out, at the rear corners.

Those tractor mufflers may be too restrictive or maybe not restrictive at all (loud). I don't know. I'm not a tractor guy.

I just put on a pair of Walker Pro-Fit generic mufflers as I don’t like loud exhaust. I started for the first time a few weeks ago and the lifters were louder than the exhaust(no coolant so didn’t run long). I have a short video that I can send via text message or email if interested.

Most tractor supply, Nelson mufflers are kind of loud. A factory Farmall H or M round muffler can be fairly quiet however the inlet is 2 3/8. As a tractor guy, I feel you have better options with dedicated automotive style mufflers.

    what did you decide on?
I have cheap summit turbo mufflers that got-a-go. Second time, the inner baffles must break loose and they are as noisy as heck. I can push my foot on the muffler standing outside the Jeep and they stop rattling and quiet way down.

I have dual walker quiet flow part # 18164 on my Jeep with a 198 oddfire. They’re significantly quieter than whatever the PO had installed. I’m happy with them and they were pretty cheap at rock auto.

Out the back or in front of the rear tires?

They exit in front of the rear tires. Would likely be quieter if routed out the back.

Ran around the neighborhood a bit today between rain storms. These are not quiet but a deeper tone and no rattling like the Turbo mufflers I had.
