Frame To Body Mount Locations

    Yeah I might split the difference and leave the floor and cut out the box tube and put the hat braces back in.
    The real debate is what to do with the rear vertical riser - what do you think on that?

    I think I would just replace what's bad and leave the rest. As you noted you have plenty of other things to do without making more unnecessary work.

    Ok so I know the factory used tire sidewall. Since I have long ago deviated from OEM, I'm debating the merits of using pucks at most of the flat locations.

    What do you guys think about replacing with these (or similar) rubber pads?

    I have some 1/2" urethane pucks that I got as a sample to do my test fitment, but it seems to me that rubber that is "squishable" would be a better move than the hard urethane.

    boopiejones I can’t drive 55

    I installed urethane pucks and they made a huge difference in the ride quality. But most of my Jeep was on bare metal before, so I suppose anything would have been an improvement.

    It really depends on what you've done to your jeep & what you use it for- if you've boxed your frame & do hard rock crawling poly may be of benefit. If you're running a stock frame & trail riding of rough sections rubber may be better.

    The "original" spacers were just strips of welting, not sure when the factory shifted to the rubber pads. I used UHMW plastic disks ~ 3/16' thick sandwiching the frame mounts- stiff but allows for some flex.
