Not fully welding spring perches

    I'm nearing the end of my jeep build, and am about to go drive it around. I have the rear spring perches tack welded on right now, and have a standard driveshaft installed. In the very near future, I'm going to put a CV driveshaft in, so I don't want to completely weld up the spring perches only to cut them off right away.

    How much force is exerted on these? Will they be ok just cruising around the neigborhood? I think the worst that would happen is that they break off and the driveshaft gets destroyed, and since it's a temporary shaft anyways... What do you guys think?

    When you do decide to weld DO NOT weld the ends, only weld the sides parrallel to the frame.

    The way my perches are, there is no metal on the end to weld anyways. But for future reference, what's the reasoning behind that? Just to make them easier to get off again later?
