I removed the fuel tank for cleanup and had a question. The top tube with the rubber hose cut off was the fuel line. What is the second line?

If an F-head underseat tank, I believe the top outlet was supposed to be the drain.

The one with the larger “funnel” shape (top of OP’s photo) should be the drain.

the lower outlet in the OP’s photo is for the fuel line.

primary difference is that the fuel line outlet has an upsidedown “snorkel” inside the tank, which I believe is to keep from getting crud or water sucked into the fuel line.

Yep, F-Head underseat tank. Makes sense. The lower (in the pic) is blocked on this one.

Looks like PO swapped them for some reason. They even moved the ‘snorkel’ over. Tank is pretty sad overall, …trying to save it.
