Block T150 Speedometer Port?

    I will be using a GPS speedometer on my 76 CJ5.

    Is there a risk of slinging oil from the unused speedo port on the T150 trans?

    I'm thinking I should block it off somehow. I don't have the cable, anybody know the threads? Or better yet, anybody know where I could get something to block it off? Unless the consensus is just that it's unnecessary, of course.

    Definitely block it off.
    I used an old speedo cable housing and plugged the cable pass-thru with RTV.
    I don't know what the threads measure.

    The speedometer cable is driven off the transfer case not the transmission. It will leak if you don’t block off. I’ve used the end of a cable housing pinched off and an o-ring inside to seal them off.
