I rebuilt both my T14 and D18 and they both still leak. Not as bad but bad enough to make me mad.

I am new at this, I just got my M38a1 or CJ-5 (i'm not sure)

What does the Novak shaft do for you? I thought the T90 bolted directly to the D18 without any modification?

    Thanks,

    Bert

It does bolt direct. The shaft has nothing to do with that aspect. It is in the center of the transfer case and the intermediate gear bearing rides on it. It is a high wear item because of the design, and the Novak shaft is hardened to minimize wear. Other shafts tend to wear quicker, some cheap ones quite rapidly.
