So I'm putting together my old Spartan turn signal (1972 CJ5). It was taken apart years ago but I've seen enough pics to know how to reassemble it.

In the box with the parts was this thing. It's about three inches long. (Just because it was in the box with the Spartan turn signal should not be any suggestion that it actually goes with the Spartan turn signal.)

With no mud on it, I assume -- if it's even a Jeep part -- that it was inside the cab of the Jeep.

    Any help?

I believe that is the bracket that attaches vintage mirror to the windshield.

    here’s a pic of mine

    Yes! That's it!

The ball broke on mine, so I put an aftermarket mirror on there. A nice chrome rectangular one.

If anyone needs a OEM rear view mirror bracket, I've got one (apparently...)

Confirming what CJ5Dale said...I knew this looked familiar, but I couldn't place it. My '71 uses the same hardware. I had it off one time for a windshield replacement.
