Get onto the tinkercad website and see if the software is your thing. Some people get it some don't. But try drawing what you need before getting a printer.

Thought you already had a fun hobby? :D

Ask me, the push buttons are the coolest part of the car, but that's just me living in my childhood memories again.

I like the idea of using the original bezel.

Hey Pete~:D I'm thinking to use the plate with the push buttons, more for show, not function, even though I may have a floor shifter. Yes, this is a fun hobby, but could use some other avenues for interesting hobbies. To be honest, I worry about my husband~ when I'm in the shop, he mainly does stuff on the computer and I have to say that's not the "healthiest" thing. He's not interested in shop stuff, but perhaps a 3d printer could be something "we" could do~ and he has more of the mindset for techy stuff that I. Probably won't do it, but it's a thought for now.

"Twiny ;) whats next?" Well, as for BMW's, I found this one in this link, wrote, but the seller never wrote back:madwife:, it looked like a possible doner at a cheap price. There are sooooo many BMW models in the years between '98-2000. As for what's next apart from a doner car?, just keep tinkering. I'd like the doner to do fitment before sandblasting, but other than that, I could spend some time on the front fenders as they're bent up, so I could spend a week on those! lol

Bought this dash trim (ebay), to complete the dash. This is more from a upgrade model? like the GT?

This is my Triumph TR6, I don't use the factory heater/vent controls except one has an outlet for accessories. The AC controls for aftermarket air are just below them. So, the old controls are just there for show;)

I think you are missing the opportunity with the buttons…

    james bond style

    p - pointy bumper spears
    R - rocket mode
N - nitrous cloud to make foes laugh
D - drag mode that opens the exhaust bypass
L - lower suspension for rocket mode

The dart push button assembly~ amazing~ I'd of hated being on the assembly line in putting these together! Much less someone had to design them! ;)

Started on the drivers fender, I have a ways to go on it. Just got too HOT and that was enough~ then Gary informed me that one of our swimming pool pumps died~ a pool is such a pain! But the grandkids love it~ ;)

Got some "new" to me parts(ebay). I broke my original push button panel thingy. Have no idea how to restore plastic chrome, may just be painting the parts some fabulous color;)

This is an upgrade for the dash, I think mainly on the GT models. Still have to drill holes for these. There's also an emblem for the far right piece, 270 had it. I'll be repairing the radio hole eventually and of course the rusted through hole/s.

Hi! yeah I know, I've been dormant~ plus 105 degrees in my garage~ no way! lol However, I changed my mind on the bmw thing, just too complicated. I found a 318/A904 setup from a running '73 Challenger, only 20 minutes from me! Yeah I know, a 318? lol It'll be fine, especially the way I drive~ I've been tearing it down over the past few days and today did a test fit and is looking pretty good. I'm waiting on some correct motor supports and when those look good n all, I'll focus on a differential, not sure what I'm going to do there. After all that's accomplished, then I can start thinking more body work, like sandblasting;)

rear spring relocation kit to accomodate a little wider tires in the back.

I had a 318 in a '76 power wagon growing up, then as my DD in high school...

It had an iski cam, edlebrock intake and a bogmaster 4 barrel carb (it ran well, regardless, off camber, flat, up hill, down hill and it certainly had throaty secondaries, but, buuuuuuuuuhBWHAAAAAAA, slight delay... but it never delayed requiring the gas station). All that vented into long tube headers and into double exhaust. It towed well, it ran well. It even would do about 100MPH with the full-time 4WD singing away... when I sold it, I had to put the boat anchor intake, an original style carb and an original style air cleaner back on it... gave the buyer the other goodies so he could fix it up as soon as he got it home. I'm pretty sure I was still running points and condenser. Redline was by guess/ear/prolly what came with the cam when it got installed around '78, and the redline was set on the tach to 4500. If I had the right application, I'd use another 318, but it'd be kitted out and it'd run like a 3-legged sewing machine... (smooooooth, with slight lope, sorry, not sorry?). Anyway.

I'm watching. It's 106 at 3p here. Not interested in doing much outdoors either.

Good story Dane;) I’ll probably keep it stock except for a nice looking intake, headers I hear pose a problem for clearances, I m just not understanding why a rack n pinion won’t work:(

Well as said, waiting for the motor supports, need to sit down at the computer and figure out what rear axle I’m going to use, get it and fit it.
I’m looking at universal rack and pinions;)

First V8 was a 318 in a '71 Dart. Also had one in our Dodge-based Class B campervan. I know they aren't a favorite of the go-fast crowd but they run so smooth. I'll always have a soft spot for them.

318 is a plenty decent motor, they actually make pretty good high rpm screamers, with a decent set of heads and a big camshaft.
