I am getting the parts for my 11” drum rear e brakes and the only part I can’t get is a bracket that should be pretty simple to fabricate. I’m wondering if anyone has dimensions and/or a photo of where this is mounted. This diagram is from 72-75 CJ5. I am putting in a 67 CJ5. I already have the backing plates and internal hardware. Thanks.

I did the same. The long release cable with handle are available but the short ones I have not found. I ended up brazing the frayed cable at the ball.
The brake set-up worked out well. I believe it was a 1973.

For the u-channel I used something I had laying around...my usual go to stuff. It is 3" long, 1-1/2' wide and 1-1/4' tall. The flanges are 5/8" or so.
This is 16 gauge metal and is attached to the center of the hat channel just behind the transfer case.

Thanks a bunch. Extremely helpful as always. Sam at Partsdude4x4 said he has the short cables that go to the rear. I will post pics on my build thread when I am done.

I confirmed with Sam at Partsdude that he has the rear cables/short cables. He has them drop shipped, so not currently in stock, but available.

Mine are like 5' long and loop around. The first ones split and rusted. I could not find the other set I had so I repaired them. Then later I found
the cables just not when I had it apart. So I have spares now. I did not know about the short cables. Could a be Crown product which I believe
my first ones were. I believe mine are EIS brake cables. I also have an EIS 2219 cable. There is one on ebay.
