Sparton Turn Signal Switch Bulb- Need Help

The blinker bulb inside my sparton turn signal housing has stopped working. I checked the ground on the column and it seems fine. The glass on the bulb itself is really loose and even though the filament isn't broken inside, I suspect the bulb is bad. I checked it for continuity and I get nothin.

That said.... There are no helpful markings on it to identify the bulb type. Just "USA" engraved on the side.

Any help is appreciated. It's a 12v system.

 

Put the bulb in your pocket. There's a NAPA on Washington and one on Venice. They'll have it.

 

Looks like a #53 mini bayonet bulb 12v.
Cool that it has USA on it! Most replacements now will have China

 

Haha! The one on Venice right next to me is no longer there. But yes, I will take it out to the one on Washington next time I’m inDTLA! Thx

Bummer. That was a good shop in the day, especially before it was a NAPA. Another good place was West Coast Marine Electric, everything under the (electrical) sun for vehicles. But prolly gone as well. It's been a while since I've been to the west side. Ah, Canned Heat at the Fox Venice Is Versailles still around? Best Cuban chicken and beans I ever had

West Coast Marine Electric looks like its still a bit of a hike from where I am but I'll check around.

 

Believe that is a GE #53 like beachbum sez.

Funny thing, the glass part was loose too!
