Ca Smog Equipment Help - 76 Cj5 258ci

I need to get my 76 CJ5 ready for smog testing in California, and I need to know what equipment I need.
There is conflicting information that the '76 258 had a smog pump, diverter valve and air injection.

I have the EGR, CAT, charcoal canister and other pieces already.
Anyone have a '76 with a 258 and original smog equipment or anyone in the know?

you might inquire at Collins Brothers and see if they reply, they have done some correct restorations with some of the jeeps they.ve had

 

Original stock air cleaner , on the pump and air injectors if it has the ports in the exhaust manifold it is needed if not then no . If in doubt ask your local smog shop they will usually tell you the required equipment.z

 

It does have the ports. I'll track down all the equipment and install it. Thank you.

 

Jeeps R Us in Laguna might be a help. At least it's close. be wary of their work though

 

are you trying to do a factory accurate setup? or just wanting to have it pass smog? I would think with an ERG and aftermarket cat, it would probably pass on the rollers with sniff test.
