The FC also came in a "long bed" version.

 

long bed quad turbo v12 fc with plaid valve covers and a front snowblower.

It would require "notAmog" license plates.

And a fuel trailer.

 

I used to own an FC170, with a Holmes wrecker body. Someone put a Buick straight 8 engine in it, it hung out of the back of the cab about a foot!

There used to be a GMC reefer fish truck up at Hatteras that had one of those in it. It typically made 3 round trips/week up to NY City. In its later years, the truck had a nearly open exhaust. You could hear it 1/2 mile down the highway like it was 100’ away, unique sound too. I bet that truck was thirsty!

I read where they got 4 miles per gallon. Doing the math is beyond my job description.

 

Considering that for their day they were doing the work of what big diesels do for similar mileage it is not really that bad and the displacement is huge (that 702 is a 11.5 liter engine.) A buddy of mine ran a small construction firm with a few medium duty dumps running that larger commercial Duramax getting 4-5 mpg loaded.
