Jeep Passenger Seat?

Hey all,
I am curious as to what this seat might be for. Looking at the fabricated mounting tabs it isn't a Intermediate seat or the mount is wrong. Early CJ? It does fold which is good, but there isn't any provisions for the latch si it's a sketchy ride for passengers. My goal is to reupholster them like the blue Levi's seats if it's worth it. Thanks

 

Your seat frame looks like Howard's frame in the photo. The seat itself looks to be 69-70 or newer with modifications to fit the frame.

 

The lower hinging frame is from a ‘66-up at least through ‘71, maybe beyond into intermediate. The seat its self is styled after Jeep if it isn’t original. The stick seats didn’t use the adapter plates to the frame.

Is there a difference with the mounting bolt spacing between Early, Intermediate and 76-83?

 

76 and up are entirely different. all intermeiates (72-75) will be the same. Before that (71 and back) are likely the same but may not be the same as the intermediates.
