I have a 1964 CJ-5A Tuxedo Park Mark IV that I have been using for years as a plow Jeep. (It was already set up for plowing when I bought it 25 years ago.) I have collected a bunch of the Tuxedo Park related parts. But one thing that I don't have a good handle on is the front and rear floors. Mine has been patched many times over the years. I am looking to restore the tub to how it was from the factory. What I am looking for are photos of original floors to show some of those details. I am not sure if the Tuxedo Park tub was different from the regular CJ-5 tub. Has anyone documented the differences between the different years of the tubs?

I understand there are several vendors who sell floors. What I haven't found is a floor that is constructed like the original one. Mine had the the provisions for the M38A1 gas tank sump with a "delete" plate on it. I want to reconstruct the floor with those details.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

    Todd.

Classic Enterprises make them better than anyone else I've seen, I'd start with their panels & modify as required as trying to roll your own to get a factory original look is near impossible unless you're an experienced sheet metal guy.

FWIW I have a number of pictures of floor panel & other pieces here-

Interesting about the 38A1 and a delete plate. My 1970 DJ-5A has that same floor. I was looking at using the repro floor pans for the M38A1 instead of CJ-5 and making my own delete plate.

Midwest Military (Prior Lake) makes proper replacement floors. The original CJ tubs were base on the M38a1, but used a flat plate instead of the deep “well” of the military version. This is why there is a seam in the floor. Midwest has the front LH floor section, and I believe they can supply the flat section under the gas tank instead of the well.
They are the only supplier I’m aware of that has the correctly stamped replacement panels.
The Tux tub is identical to regular CJ from ‘64-up. The “new” tubs without the battery lid and raised mirror boss on the cowl were introduced on the Tux, and the regular CJ’s followed as the older style tubs were used for a few months more as stock was depleted.

Oh that's excellent that Midwest Military has that part. John Bizal is a great person and has gotten a lot of money for WW2 vehicle parts already.

Thanks guys for the information. Love your photos Howard on your restoration. That is how I plan on doing mine. Perhaps I need to find a donor tub! Thanks.

The drain holes are not in the correct location for a CJ, and some A1’s, but I think they can move them out by the rockers. I believe they also have supplied the flat CJ floor under the fuel tank, though this is not in their catalog.
I’ll be ordering these parts for my project.
