‘74 Parts Jeep - Colorado

Not mine, but I *was* going to leave in the morning with a trailer to have a look. The footwells are pretty bad, though, so I’ll try to patch the tub I have. Bummer.

If the PTO is still there + the winch, there's your 500.

 

Bluetooth and back-up camera are standard features. Almost forgot the MultiAir. Is that like a MultiPass?

 

Yeah, I considered that but…

What I want is a tub. Anything else is icing on the cake. This wasn’t the tub I want, so the icing is irrelevant.

About 30 miles from my house. Of course, I'm 500 miles away from home right now.

 

And…

I changed my mind about it. Gonna meet up with the seller Sunday - with a trailer.

After a long look at the tub on my ‘72, that one looks really good. I’ll need a tailgate, though.

I hope the whole thing isn’t scrap…

That is a bit of a drive and fuel.

 

It is. But, useable 50-year-old Jeep bodies are a bit scarce in the Midwest. Gotta go to where the decent ones are.

I got it home! It’s pretty much as advertised; rusty but not too terrible.

The PTO is intact and turns, the winch appears to be useable, and the body and axles are OK.

All in all, it’s a win for me. $400 plus my expenses, which were considerably higher…

I didn’t scrutinize the Commando but it’s a frame & body, not even a roller, I think.

Some rust, but it’s 50 years old…

I have the seller’s number.
