I have a MHI (Mitsubishi Heavy Industry) Turbine in my fleet right now that is the biggest hunk of .. It's my problem child..

 

When I worked at a Mack/Volvo truck dealer, we had Mitsubishi Fuso trucks as a sideline. LOTS of engine problems with their little 4 cyl diesel.
One thing I found interesting though...they offered 4x4 medium duty trucks, and many of the components look like early CJ parts scaled up for medium duty use.

It has a Dana 44 offset flanged rear and a D27 front. Newer models may have a D30 in front. Listed as 4.77 gear ratio?
Transfer case is a modified D18 twin stick. Not sure on the mod. Could be to fit the four speed. 30+ MPG.

Pictures I saw had the traditional stick. A different dash and swapping the steering column over and swinging peddles.
Add saginaw steering and done.
